Mrs. Haggards Homepage

Hello! My name is Lisa Haggard, and I’m the Art teacher at New River Elementary School. This is my third year teaching at New River and my 13th year teaching Art overall. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona University (NAU).

I’m passionate about helping students explore their creativity and express themselves through art. I love watching their confidence grow as they experiment with new ideas and materials.

Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, dancing, and spending quality time with my family.

It is in your child’s best interest that we work together in support of their education. I truly believe that teamwork is the key to success in the creative world. As artist Hans Erni once said, “Whether the creative artist uses figurative or abstract design depends on the nature of the job and his inclination.” Together, we can nurture each child’s unique artistic journey.
