Welcome to the learning center for 3rd, 4th, 5th, & 6th graders. I firmly believe that ALL CHILDREN ARE CAPABLE OF SUCCESS! My classroom is often referred to as "The Minion Classroom". But don't let its fun, relaxing and calming atmosphere fool you, because inside we are all working hard to build stamina which will assist in increased learning. Although the beginning of the year may seem tough, the payoff at the end of each year makes it all worth it as we track our data and watch it soar!
Ms. Lisa Hancock
I have been a resident of Arizona for 29 years and have also lived in places like California, Utah, Switzerland, Missouri, and Colorado. My life is filled with my 5 children, 3 grandchildren, weekly church activities, and my love for teaching children. All 5 of my children have attended New River Elementary and I feel so fortunate to work here as a special education teacher. Before New River, I taught in Anthem, AZ; Kirksville, MO; and Phoenix, AZ., concentrating on preschool through 4th grade, although I did enjoy a year with 7th and 8th graders. I can't imagine doing anything else :)
